The Story
The Story Behind YOGEEZA by Founder Andrew
"YOGEEZA wasn't created because the world needed another yoga class. It was created because thousands of conversations with ordinary men revealed the same problem and I wanted to do something about it."
I've been a barber for over 30 years. In that time, I've had thousands of conversations with men about their backs, their jobs, their stress, their families and the aches and pains that slowly creep into everyday life.
One thing became obvious: most men know they should be looking after themselves, but very few actually do.
A barber's chair is one of the few places where men genuinely open up.
Around 2017, I started telling clients something different I had taken up yoga.
I'd been living with back and neck pain, sciatica and migraines for years. I'd tried all sorts of treatments, but nothing gave me lasting results. Then I discovered yoga. Within six months, I was pain-free for the first time in years.
When I mentioned it to clients, I kept hearing the same two responses.
"I know I should do something like that, but I'm not walking into a class full of women."
"Yoga's not really for blokes."
The second one was easy to answer. Yoga done properly is challenging. It builds strength, mobility, balance and resilience in ways most men never expect.
But it was the first response that stayed with me.
That's when I realised the problem wasn't yoga. It was the environment.
Men weren't avoiding yoga because they didn't want the benefits they just didn't feel comfortable walking into a traditional class.
That's why I created YOGEEZA.
YOGEEZA is built specifically for men. No egos. No pressure. No expectations. Just a group of ordinary men investing in the future version of themselves by improving their strength, mobility, flexibility, posture and overall wellbeing.
One of the biggest benefits of this type of training is something that's rarely talked about.
After only a few classes, you begin to notice how you carry yourself throughout the day. You become more aware of your posture while sitting at a desk, walking or playing sport. You catch yourself clenching your jaw or carrying tension in your shoulders and instinctively relax them. You stand taller. You become more aware of your spine instead of slouching. During stressful moments, you remember to breathe instead of tensing up.
These small changes soon become habits, helping you move better, hurt less and feel more in control of your body every single day.
Since launching YOGEEZA in May 2026, around 90% of the men who've joined us had never tried yoga or this type of mobility training before. Most couldn't touch their toes when they walked through the door.
Now they're moving better, feeling stronger and, perhaps most importantly, they've discovered something they genuinely enjoy. Every one of them has chosen to continue their own journey with YOGEEZA.
That tells me we're doing something right.
My ambition has never been to build the biggest yoga business.
It's to help as many men as possible enjoy healthier, more active lives not just today, but for decades to come.
If I can help men avoid some of the aches, stiffness, injuries and limitations that so many accept as "just getting older", then everything we've built at YOGEEZA has been worthwhile.
Every car needs servicing. Every home needs maintenance. Your body deserves the same attention.
Invest in it now, and it'll look after you for years to come.
If you've been thinking..."I really should do something." This is your sign.
